2021 Conference Speaker Bios

Carla Walker is the US Director of Environmental Justice and Equity for World Resources Institute. In this role, she provides leadership on WRI-US work around equity, environmental justice, and just transition which includes ensuring equity is centered in the Electric School Bus Initiative.

Prior to WRI, Walker worked at NRDC as a Climate Advisor with the American Cities Climate Challenge where she stood up a platform to educate citizens about the benefits of electric vehicles and created a program to address energy burden for low-income renters and apartment building owners.
